Goal: Transfer your Etsy product listings to your Shopify store, including titles, descriptions, pricing, SKUs, tags, and images.
Prerequisites:
You have Altera installed on your Shopify store
You have access to your Etsy Shop Manager
You are using a computer (not the Etsy mobile app)
Step 1 - Go to Etsy Shop Manager
Log in to your Etsy account on a computer. Click You in the top right corner, then select Shop Manager.
Step 2 - Open Settings
In the Shop Manager dashboard, click Settings on the left menu, then select Options.
Step 3 - Download your listings
Click the Download Data tab. Scroll to the Currently for Sale Listings section and click Download CSV. Save the EtsyListingsDownload.csv file to your computer.
Step 4 - Open Altera
In your Shopify admin, go to Apps and open Altera.
Step 5 - Go to Transform data
In the left sidebar, click Transform data.
Step 6 - Upload your Etsy file
Click Upload file and select the EtsyListingsDownload.csv file you downloaded from Etsy.
Step 7 - Select the Etsy Products transformation
From the transformation dropdown, select Etsy Products. This converts your Etsy listings into the format Altera uses for Shopify imports.
Step 8 - Download the converted file
Click Transform and wait for the conversion to complete. Download the converted file to your computer.
Step 9 - Import the products to Shopify
In Altera, click Upload file on the home page. Select the converted file and follow the prompts to import your products.
Outcome
Your Etsy listings appear in your Shopify admin under Products. Each product includes the title, description, pricing, SKUs, tags, and image URLs from your original Etsy listings.
Important Notes
Images: The converted file includes your Etsy image URLs. During import, Altera downloads these images and uploads them to Shopify.
Variations: If your Etsy listings have variations, they are converted to Shopify variants.
Materials: The materials from your Etsy listings are saved to the
Metafield: custom.materials [list.single_line_text_field]field in Shopify.Review before publishing: Imported products are created as drafts by default. Review them before setting their status to active.
